Culper Bros. draws inspiration from the American Revolutionary spy network established by General George Washington and Major Ben Tallmadge. Agents of the network moved amongst British society in New York, listening from the shadows whilst stealing secrets to keep Washington one step ahead of the red coats. The intelligence they gathered kept Washington’s flag, blue with thirteen white stars, flying over victories against superior forces. Success against the odds is embedded in the histories of both nations, and it’s what Culper Bros. is all about.

We’re bringing you American spirit with British heart. By taking the best Indianan bourbon back to Britain we feel that we’re doing our little bit to even the score from two hundred and fifty years ago. The special relationship and the shared cultural heritage are at the heart of who we are, we want you to enjoy an iconic piece of Americana, but with a contemporary style.

Our first offering is Culper Bros 355, or just 355 if you like. We mean, what’s in a name really? Our inspiration certainly had one, we’ll just never know it for sure. She was the only agent never identified, even to this day, but she’s known by her deeds. So, we guess this first one’s for her.

In 2021, four British brothers-in-arms came together with the intention of supplying bourbon with a British twist. Secured in every sip of 355 is a little bit of American fighting spirit but this time, unlike in 1778, the Brits control 355.
